Introducing Ferg

Please visit our website:

On Friday Ferg our engineer came to the Drawing Office for a morning workshop.  Ferg's great, not only because he brings us bacon rolls, but also because he is an engineer.  And (almost) every Building Workshop project needs an engineer.  He fits in perfectly at Building Workshop.   Like us, Ferg grew up in Angus and he is passionate about designing and building great buildings and loves getting involved in the nuts and bolts of every project.

He enjoys working on beautiful traditional buildings, as well as the super modern.  And his detail drawings are very tidy!

As well as our projects, Ferg works on some big big designs from superstores to zoos, with some of the world's best architects including London based Iranian female architect Zaha Hadid.  Zaha Hadid designed the Riverside Museum - replacing Glasgow's Museum for Transport - which is being built at the moment.  We can't wait to see it once it's finished.

Ferg was the engineer for the only Scottish finalist of the V&A Dundee competition - the Crannog - designed by Edinburgh based architect's practice Sutherland Hussey.
